SPRING & SUMMER ON MY OWN

Glen 1965. Rites of Spring. Along with the Magnolia blooms we always hunted mushrooms. Mushrooms and Arrowheads. That is what we used to do in the early Spring.

This is the mud season 2010. Yesterday my son Kirk slipped and fell flat in the mud. I don't know why I did not take a picture. Since he was uninjured it was pretty funny. He was a totally a mud wrestler.
I did the same thing a few days ago. This is the season of mud and flood.

My diesel dually and generator started up and with a roar and are ready to roll 2010.

I have been making plans for Spring and Summer. I have my saddle club weekend rides on the calendar. I have my reservations at the horse camp at Farmington for every4th weekend until winter. That is when there is a fun mule and horse show and entertainment at the lodge.

I am going to Eminence in May and October. Cross Country Trail Ride.

My little farm, gardens, and lawn are waiting for my labors. Everything is going per direction.
This is my second Spring without Glen. I am doing my best, but it is lonely. It is hard to keep focused on things and that is why I have made so many reservations and plans.

My dancing lessons are over for this year. It is a challenge to take couples dance lessons when you are single. This would be more humerus if it was not so sad. I laugh and cry at the same time. I have learned how to have a blast with a broken Heart.

I take a little time every day to feel sorry for my self and then I go to the barn and visit my mules and listen to them chomp up their hay. My dog and cat are always under my feet. Life is good. Everyday is a gift.

  2. You are one tough woman grandma Jeanie! My hat is off to you ... A person doesn't know just what they are capable of until that time comes. You seem to be accepting your challenge with flying colors! I sincerely wish you a very happy spring and summer ... with all sorts of new adventures!! Ride ON!

I wish I had pics of my hubby stuck in the muck yesterday.

  6. Seeing the mushrooms makes me sad for Bill. He did so look forward to hunting mushrooms. Had a few good finds, found enough to feed a tour bus once.

I admire you so much and am so glad to be able to call you a friend. Maybe you will get down to Arkansas sometime. I look forward to it.

I envy your dance classes. I no longer have enough air to dance, walking is all I can do.
